This program will be boys, age 12-13 in Grades 7th & 8th. The teams are created by balancing players of all skill levels and giving equal playing time to all participants.  Scores will be kept, and standings compiled from the first week. The program will be run by the Rec Program Director. Baskets will be at the 10'-0" height. The goal of 7th and 8th Grade Program is to create a competitive environment where all players can have fun. Based on Gym Availability there will be a weekday skill development/pick up opportunity for additional playing time. Coaches are encouraged to foster development in players not already involved in travel programs and put travel players in a supporting role where they may work on weaknesses in their own games. The focus of this age grouping is fun in a competitive environment.
